Marina Mabrey Facts

She was brought up in Belmar, New Jersey.

It was Marina’s parents’ interest in the sport that triggered her passion for basketball at an early age. Also, her mother was a basketball coach whom she would accompany to her practices at the time. She would also competitively play with her brothers and sisters in their driveway.

While attending Manasquan High School, she also played on the school’s basketball team leading her team to win the state Tournament of Champions. On the other hand, Mabrey was also named the “Most valuable Player” by McDonald’s All-American Game in 2015.

Her sister Michaela also played basketball for Notre Dame Fighting Irish women’s basketball team. She played alongside her sister from 2015 to 2016 and continued to play on their elite team until she graduated in 2019.

After graduation in 2015, Marina joined former college basketball coach Muffet McGraw’s squad.

The earliest post that Marina uploaded to her Instagram account was on May 7, 2014.

She began her own limited-time shirt line in 2019, which was called “This Is My Kitchen”. This was mostly based on reference to sexism in sports and her 2018 NCAA Women’s Basketball Championship.
